A new traveling tea experience with serious Bridgerton vibes has rolled into San Antonio.
Tea Around Town bills itself as a 90-minute afternoon tea service aboard a pink, flower-adorned double-decker bus. Guests are invited to settle in for a moving tea party complete with city views, live entertainment and a tiered spread of sandwiches and sweets as the get a rolling tour of downtown.
According to the company’s website, each experience includes a private sky-deck table with 360-degree views, live narration and entertainment — and, of course, a selection of teas served with a souvenir tumbler and a three-tiered menu service.
Two ticket options are available. The Petite Menu, priced at $79 per person, includes 15 items per guest. The Luxe Menu costs $99 per person and features priority boarding, 24 menu items and a seasonal mocktail.
The bus departs from in front of downtown Brazilian restaurant Fogo de Chao at 849 E. Commerce St.
The Tea Around Town concept originated in New York City and has since expanded to multiple cities nationwide. Online reviews, however, have been mixed. On TikTok, user @LizDamyl shared a video describing her experience, saying she was initially excited but that her bus arrived two hours late. Other commenters on the video said their own reservations were canceled without explanation.
A representative for Tea Around Town responded in the comments, writing: “Hi Liz! Thank you for your honest feedback. Unfortunately, we encountered significant mechanical issues that impacted our operations over the weekend. We’re so disappointed to say that the issues did cause other trips to be canceled. We want you to know that this experience is not the standard we aim to provide, nor the representation of Tea Around Town that we are proud of. We are working to make this right with all guests.”
Reviews for the Tea Around Town Austin experience were also mixed, with some Google users claiming they had a fabulous time with good service, while others within the past week were adamant that the experience was a waste of money.
“We had the absolute best time at Tea Around Town for our girls’ day during our joint bachelorette trip! The whole experience was so much fun and such a unique way to celebrate,” Kaitlyn Pyburn noted in her review.
“ In conclusion,we went Saturday, February 21 with three people and we ended up paying $135 per person, a total of $405. I would honestly not go ever again,” Ana Espinoza wrote.

Asked about the online comments, Tea Around Town officials said in an emailed statement that their crews encountered unforeseen logistical and mechanical problems that disrupted recent trips.
“We sincerely regret that these experiences did not reflect the high standard we hold ourselves to,” the company said in its statement. “We take full responsibility for the impact this has had on our influencer partners, and we have been working around the clock to implement operational adjustments and strengthen our local coordination. Our team has already reached out directly to those impacted to apologize and make things right.”
In the statement, Tea Around Town officials said they appreciate honest feedback from guests to help “refine and elevate” the experience as service rolls out in the Alamo City.
“We remain deeply excited to be part of the San Antonio community and are committed to delivering the seamless, elevated experience our guests expect from Tea Around Town,” the statement concluded.
