The Grand Hyatt San Antonio Riverwalk has completed a $9 million renovation, spiffing up its already upscale lobby and adding new food and beverage options, including a stylish Italian restaurant in place of its old bar.
As part of the project, the 1,003-room downtown hotel added new modern check-in desks, crystal chandeliers and dark wood accents to its lobby. The goal is to create a comforting yet elegant atmosphere in parts of the property, officials said.
The new Tejas Lounge to the west of the lobby also offers a cozy spot for guests and others to stop in for a curated selection of Texas spirits along with light bites, according to details shared by the hospitality company.
New dining concept Moda Fare — an eatery offering Italian cuisine and craft cocktails — has replaced the hotel’s Bar Roja. Moda Fare seeks to embody the Italian approach to style, bringing beauty, comfort and tradition together, Hyatt officials said.
The Grand Hyatt’s coffee shop, formerly known as Perks Coffee, also has been transformed into a higher-end experience. The new Spoonful Provisions offers coffee from premium roasters along with homemade baked goods.
