Ooh La La Korean BBQ has been locked out of its space at Park North shopping center by property manager DPEG North Park, LP, according to a Jan. 22 notice posted on the business’ front doors.

The notice accuses the family-owned and -operated eatery of owing $72,417.33 in back rent. Google listing for the restaurant also states that it’s now permanently closed.

The Current reached out to Ooh La La’s owners for comment but didn’t hear back by press time.

Ooh La La opened on Oct. 1, 2024, offering affordable all-you-can-eat grill specials for lunch and dinner. The dining spot was also known for drink offerings such as its Somaek Tower, a setup featuring the South Korean cocktail somaek, which consists of soju and beer.

The restaurant last posted to Instagram on Wednesday, Jan. 21, stating that it was serving until 10 p.m., as usual.

Although Ooh La La appears to be gone for good, other spots across the city have popped up to sate the appetite for Korean- and Japanese-style barbecue. Those include Gen Korean BBQ House in the Huebner Oaks Shopping Center, Dae Gee Korean BBQ near the Northside, Wild Japanese BBQ & Sushi & Shabu on North Loop 1604 East, along with JPOT and Kim’s Galbi.
