Florio's Heads North For Second Location After 36 Years in Alamo Heights

Florio’s Pizza is branching out. The popular Broadway Street eatery, open since 1980, is tentatively slated to open a second location on 1604 at Bandera Road next month.

Expect the same delicious menu and interior aesthetic they're known for (i.e. awesome New York-style pies, a most perfect cold Italian hero sandwich, tasty cakes).

As far as what prompted the expansion, owner Pat Florio said that it was a natural logistical move. Her brother, Steve, who lives in the area and will manage the new location, noticed a lack of similar establishments nearby, and decided the time ripe for expansion.

Look for the new Florio’s to open next to Stout House in the shopping center adjacent to Santikos’ Silverado Theatre. Pat said that there are no other current expansion plans at this time.
