Ask for a recommendation for a good Mexican restaurant — not Tex-Mex — within the San Antonio Restaurants group on Facebook and people will be up in arms. So, we gathered the restaurants that these group members generally agreed upon could be trusted for finding “real Mexican food.” (Their words, not ours.) While these local spots may not have a menu completely avoiding Tex-Mex, you’ll be able to find dishes inspired from various parts of Mexico.
