We're digging the Medium flavor.

There will be more salsa on shelves this fall if San Antonio-based Dom's Chop Salsa meets their fundraising goal of $50,000 on IndieGoGo. The campaign, set up by Dom's Chop Salsa founders Dominic and Susie Mendiola and partner Ernest Flores, will help fund a new patent-pending grill design (to be made in San Antonio) that would up their production by 1,000 percent.

Our hungry staffers at the Current had a chance to sample the trio of salsas Dom's Chop Salsa would first launch into the market. The mild with hints of lime was a favorite for table chip-dipping, while medium as voted best flavor in our very unscientific poll. The hot was sweet to start, but packed a lasting punch (we're guessing habaneros were used?). They're all fired up using a grill and blended with a signature mix of spices that'll be up for distribution as well in the coming months.

Perk packages for salsa-funding start at $5 and go up to $5,000. Visit the campaign, which has another 28 days before it closes, here: Dom's Chop Salsa.
