Paperwork filed this month with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show the business plans to start work in January on a nearly 13,000-square-foot, two-story site at 14242 W. Loop 1604 across from UTSA hangout Hills & Dales Ice House. The $500,000 project is expected to complete next September.
The owners of Screaming Goat in Spring Branch were unavailable for comment even though the Current reached out several times for comment.
The Spring Branch location launched in 2021 as a pet- and family-friendly venue specializing in Southern Louisiana fare such as seafood po’boys and crawfish étouffée.
The original Screaming Goat serves cocktails and a large selection of beers on tap in addition to featuring an outdoor space full of yard games and picnic tables. The business books also live music and hosts events such as trivia and yoga classes.
