The Point Park & Eats Adds New Coffeeshop

The Point Park & Eats can now add Drips to its moniker with the opening of Just the Drip, a new coffeeshop space.

Owned by Denise Aguirre and Noel Cisneros, Just the Drip features coffee by Quantum Coffee Roasters, cookies and baked goods by Chocollazo, and macarons by Dreamy Sweets by Blondee. Empanadas may soon be featured as well from the Chimichurri food truck that Aguirre and Cisneros own as well.

The space has turned into a hub of sorts. Originally a food truck park and bar, the area now includes The Point Co-llab which hosts yoga and craft classes, and now the coffee shop.

Just the Drip was in the making for the better part of a year, as Aguirre and Cisneros figured out what to do with that space that doubled as indoor seating for the park. The cozy nook now comfortably fits 20 to 25 coffee drinkers.

An avid coffee drinker herself, Aguirre was trained to pull espresso shots by Mohammed Allawala, the same physics student who taught Quantum's Fidel Moreno the ropes of roasting.

For now, Just the drip will open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, but Aguirre says the hours may change to fit the shop's needs.
