Reclaim Cinco de Mayo
This show, a celebration of arts and cumbia, will feature the musical stylings of Mexico City’s Toromata Cumbia Sound, the traditional Latin group playing the beloved tunes of their ancestors, Azul, the spiritually and culturally provocative queer-based Panza Fusion dance troupe Zombie Bazaar, local instrumental and electronic cumbia band Pochos Chidos, DJ Heavy Flow of Chulita Vinyl Club, Jenelle Esparza, Regina Roman, Adriana Garcia and more as they challenge the history of imperialism in the region through art and music.
