Shannon and the Clams, silly
It's that time again, weirdos. The annual rock 'n' roll festival that reeks of bud and never combs its hair has emerged from the hot-boxed garage to barrage San Antonio with some of the best bands in the genre. Burger Records, the California label that has amassed one of the largest rosters of groovy rock, is providing local promoters, Fuzzland, with a sampling of some of their fuzziest, scuzziest movers and shakers, along with other groups on local label
Yippee Ki Yay records, and those the Fuzzland fellas just dig.
Tickets for the day-long festival, to be held at Paper Tiger on Sunday, March 20, are available
here for $25. The lineup features local cowabunga punks Junkie, booze-blues troupe The Bolos, Yippee Ki Yay's Las Pinas, as well as honky tonk 'n' rollers The Rich Hands. Headlining the festival will be retro doo-wop punk quartet Shannon and the Clams. The rest of the announced lineup includes La Luz, Night Beats, White Lung, No Parents, Guantanamo Baywatch, All Dogs, Pizza Time, Go!Zilla, Froth, American Sharks, LA Witch, Vaadat Charigim and Stonefield.
