Pop superstar Bruno Mars’ first headlining tour in nearly a decade will take him to the Alamodome on Wednesday, Sept. 23, concert promoter Live Nation said Thursday.

The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and producer’s The Romantic Tour will include roughly 40 shows across North America, Europe and the UK, mostly in stadiums. The other Texas stops include Globe Life Field in Arlington on Saturday, April 18 and NRG Stadium in Houston on Wednesday, April 22.

Nine-time Grammy winner Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee .Wee will open the San Antonio show with additional support from British singer-songwriter RAYE.

The tour announcement comes as Mars is expected to drop his fourth solo album, The Romantic, at the end of February on Atlantic Records. The release’s first single will debut Friday, Jan. 9.

A Bruno Mars artist presale for tickets will kick off at noon CST Wednesday, Jan. 14, for fans who sign up at his website by noon Monday, Jan. 12. No codes are needed for tickets sold on Ticketmaster, although other ticket sellers may require one, according to Live Nation officials.

General ticket sales open at noon Thursday, Jan. 15.

Ticket prices unavailable, Wednesday, Sept. 23, Alamodome, 100 Montana St., alamodome.com.
