Everybody Stay Calm: Latino Singer Ozuna is Coming to San Antonio This Weekend

Since Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s Despacito reached the pinnacle of the Billboard Hot 100 in 2017 (and became the most streamed song in Internet history), Latino acts continue to dominate streaming services and blur the line between English-language and Spanish-language markets. In 2018, the Puerto Rican-Dominican singer Ozuna became YouTube’s most streamed artist of the year (so far) with his videos amassing over one billion views.

On Friday, Ozuna, who sold out Madison Square Garden just weeks ago, brings his headlining tour to the Freeman Coliseum. Born Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, the singer rose to global stardom appearing on several collaborative efforts such as “La Rompe Corazones” featuring Daddy Yankee and “Escápate Conmigo” featuring Wisin. With his tender, sweet-as-candy vocals, equal parts Michael Jackson and Romeo Santos, Ozuna effortlessly moves between the genres of reggaetón, trap, dancehall and bachata, making him one of Latin pop’s most relevant artists.

Last month, Ozuna’s second studio album, Aura, debuted at number one on the Top Latin Albums chart and in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.

$99-$1,024, Fri Oct. 26, 8pm, Freeman Coliseum, 3201 E. Houston St., (210) 226-1177, freemancoliseum.com.
