Three of the most brutal bands of the ’80s thrash-metal era came to San Antonio’s Aztec Theatre on Sunday night with Marshall stacks blazing. You better believe the crowd responded with devil horns held high.
The package tour featured Bay Area heavyweights Testament, New Jersey neck-breakers Overkill and Teutonic thrash trailblazers Destruction — all of whom delivered pummeling sets full of rapid-fire riffs, barked vocals and pulverizing double-bass drums.
