The 20th Annual Ram Jam memorializing the late Ramiro “Ram” Ayala, owner of storied San Antonio music venue Taco Land, unfolded Saturday, bringing fans and musicians together to celebrate Ayala’s lasting stamp on SA culture.
The first day of the two-day concert and celebration took part at rock-and-retail space the Corn Pound, 6336 Montgomery Drive, and featured performances by Hickoids, Flamin’ Hellcats, Chaptstik, Lucy Loves Schroeder, Boxcar Satan, Tubular Face and more. For the sake of transparency, we must mention that Current Editor-in-Chief Sanford Nowlin is a member of Boxcar Satan.
The fun and memories will continue Sunday at the same spot with Buttercup, The Swindles, Michael Martin and The Infidels, Snowbird, Sexto Sol and more.
Here’s a look at Saturday’s festivities. Rest assured, no one left wondering, “Is it on?”
