Maverick Fest 2014 Reveals Final Lineup: Lonely Horse Is In

The final lineup for the major stage of the second annual Maverick Music Festival was announced today. In addition to the first list of performers, the final list includes Georgia-based singer-songwriter Washed Out, alternative rock band Candlebox, hip-hop duo Run the Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike) and San Antonio favorite two-piece Lonely Horse. A second announcement will be made for the second stage, and "emphasis for that announcement will be on local/regional bands," Three Chord Media manager/producer Faith Radle told the Current. For that second stage, it is expected that at least Crown and Creatura will be part of the lineup. The festival will take place March 21 and 22 at La Villita's Maverick Plaza. See the poster for each day's lineup. General admission two-day passes are $89 and VIP passes are $129. Single-day tickets are $49 for general admission and $69 for VIP. Walk-up general admission tickets will also be available each day at the venue for $60 a day, but good luck with that. My suggestion: get them now by clicking here. If you want to have a taste of last year's fest, here's Gary Clark Jr., who just won a Best R&B Performance Grammy on Sunday.
