DJ Shabbytiger, aka Jason R. Gonzales, passed away this week at the age of 39. A mainstay in San Antonio music, Gonzales hosted a show on KSYM and a weekly ’80s set on Sundays at The Mix. Gonzalez died unexpectedly on Thursday from “an apparent heart attack,” according to the Express-News.
On Saturday, Artist Andy Benavides will dedicate his Second Saturday show at the 1906 Gallery to the memory of Gonzales. An official service has yet to be announced.
