22nd Annual Asian Festival

Though San Antonio’s annual Asian Festival began as a small reunion for local Asian groups, it’s since ballooned in popularity and festival organizers expect nearly 10,000 participants this year. 2009 is the Year of the Ox in the Lunar New Year, and the ITC celebration includes a wide variety of food, martial-arts performances, dance demonstrations, games like Mah-jongg, vendors of Asian crafts, jewelry, clothing, and more. $8 adults, $4 children, 10am-5pm, UTSA’s Institute of Texan Cultures, 801 S.
