Kids and kids at heart need look no farther than the Pearl this weekend, when two (free!) events turn the parent-friendly complex into a circus of creative fun. While architects, engineers, and designers compete Iron Chef-style in the San Antonio Children’s Museum’s 2nd Annual Gingerbread Design Challenge: A Blueprint for a Tasty Competition, spectators can cheer them on ? before defecting to the Twig’s Family Fun Day, where the WNBA’s Helen Darling (author of Hide ‘n Seek Mondays and San Antonio Silver Stars’ #30) will join Miss Anastasia of the weekly “Wild and Wacky Storytime” and Perpetual Puppets’ Richard Diaz for a Pearl-wide scavenger hunt.
