An 1880 home that frequently hosted King William Fair celebrations, often with a band performing on its front porch, hit the market less than a week ago with a $1.6 million price tag.
The two-story home was owned by Nancy Busch Price, according to county records. Price, who died last year at age 88 was known for making her home the center of “numerous celebrations” during the King William Fair, according to her obituary. What’s more, her family managed and volunteered at NIOSA’s Add Ups Dart booth for more than half a century.
The nearly 3,500-square foot property includes its original hardwood floors, a dining room with coffered ceilings and study full of built-in bookcases, according to its property listing. In addition to front and side balconies, the Victorian home includes a basement and a separate three-car garage with a second-floor apartment.
