San Antonio police said Friday that a dead body discovered at Jefferson High School appears to be the result of a suicide.
Even so, the suicide is an “isolated incident” and “does not involve any member of the staff or students,” San Antonio Police Department Public Information Officer Nicholas Soliz said in a statement supplied to the Current.
Police told the Express-News that several parents called 911 Friday morning after spotting what appeared to be a body lying outside the school.
In his statement, Soliz stressed that the information about the corpse is preliminary, adding that the medical examiner will make the final determination.
The scene remains active at Jefferson High School.
