To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 23, 2018
Naturally, the antagonistic language of Trump’s tweet caused a bit of a panic amongst Americans concerned about the president aggressing conflict.
The tense rhetoric is just the latest since the president withdrew from an Obama era, multi-national nuclear deal with Iran in May.In the meantime, all you’re doing is scaring the sh** out your own people (Americans), many of whom believe you’ve lost your mind and may follow through with a war or that you’ve lost your mind and the @VP needs to invoke the 25th Amendment.

Rouhani responded to Trump's tweet saying that the U.S. "must understand that war with Iran is the mother of all wars and peace with Iran is the mother of all peace," according to the Associated Press. He continued with a sharp warning "do not play with the lions tail, or else you will regret it eternally."
The San Antonio representative also called on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment, the removal of a President from office when he is deemed unfit for his job.
