
Buddy isn’t just visiting New York this year. Elf: The Musical is reminding San Antonio of the true meaning of Christmas.
The family-friendly touring production inspired by the 2003 film will run Tuesday, Dec. 23, through Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Majestic Theatre as part Broadway in San Antonio’s 2025-26 season. The show won’t be presented on Christmas Day, however.
Elf the Musical follows Buddy, a human adopted by elves at the North Pole, who travels to New York to find his father and manages to brings back Christmas magic along the way.
The Prom and The Wedding Singer composer Matthew Sklar created the music for the 2 hour, 20 minute show, while lyricist Chad Beguelin wrote lyrics for its 17 songs.
The traveling cast includes Jack Ducat as Buddy, Felicia Martis as Jovie, Jeff Brooks as Walter Hobbs and Yara Martin as Emily Hobbs.
The performance is part of a national tour that includes nine other cities, Chicago and Atlanta among them. Seat availability for all shows is low or limited, and resale tickets are available online.
