After an angry customer put him in a headlock, a server at a southeast side steakhouse returned with a gun during the lunch rush hour and fired three shots into the ceiling before running out of the building, according to police.

Police at the scene of the Little Red Barn Steakhouse yesterday told Kens 5 that the customer, who was apparently angry about his food or service, attacked the server after complaining. The near-downtown steakhouse is known for servers dressed in kitschy cowboy attire who often carry fake pistols on their hips. According to the station, the server broke loose during the fight with the customer, stepped away and returned with a very real gun.

A video obtained by the station appears to show the man firing before walking out the door:
Witnesses who spoke with News 4 said they ran to the back of the restaurant when the gunfire started. Some witnesses claimed the employee at one point even pointed the pistol at the crowd. Police haven't made any arrests, nor have they identified the employees or customers involved in the spat.

The restaurant put out a statement yesterday that said, in part, "We are grateful that no injuries occurred and it is important to note that our policy is no weapons are allowed on our premises by employees."
