GoFundMe also has set up an online Texas Relief Hub to house verified and vetted GoFundMe pages for Texas flood victims, officials also said. Even so, the company said there’s more work to be done as the scope and scale of the tragedy come into full view.
Officials with GoFundMe urged those wishing to help with the recovery consider the following online fundraisers that haven’t yet reached their goal:
GoFundMe Flood Relief Fund 2025
This tax-deductible effort, organized by GoFundMe, will deliver cash grants directly to those affected by the 2025 Texas floods. Grants will go to “verified individuals who qualify and are fundraising themselves or on behalf of someone else,” platform officials said. The grants may be allocated to small businesses, community relief efforts and vetted nonprofits coordinating long-term recovery efforts. The fund has so far pulled in $145,000 of its $500,000 goal.
In Honor of DeeAnn, Gary, Megan, Jake and Harley
This fundraiser is organized by the loved ones of five family members who perished in the Texas flooding. The money will go to cover funeral expenses and estate management. It’s $40,000 short of its $90,000 goal.
Help Support Rita Odom after the Loss of Her Home
Kerrville resident Rita Odom lost her house during the weekend flooding, and her fundraiser is $5,000 short of her $45,000 goal. She pledged to donate leftover funds to other victims in the Kerville-Hunt area.
Officials involved in rescue efforts confirmed Wednesday that 119 people have died and more than 150 are known to be missing in the wake of the disaster. Kerr County officials are urging people to stay away from the area as search efforts continue.
