
Two parades fire up this holiday weekend, and we can’t have total fabulous celebrations without some headaches from commuter congestion and detour drama. So just breathe.
Straight from Via’s website, here is the reroute plan in place:
The Leon Valley Fourth of July Parade marches down Huebner Road, Evers Road, and Poss Road. The following detours will be in effect for the duration of the parade, which begins at 8:00 a.m.:

Left on Seneca
Right on Evers Road
Continue regular route
Outbound
From Evers and Seneca, left on Seneca
Right on Bandera to Huebner

From Eckhert Road and Huebner, continue on Eckhert
Left on Bandera to Huebner

From Bandera and Huebner, continue to Eckhert
Right on Eckhert to Huebner

The Pride Parade on Saturday, July 5, will dance down Main Street from Dewey Place to Euclid Street. The following detour will go into effect at 7:30 p.m. and continue for the duration of the parade:

From Main Street and Quincy Street, right on Quincy
Left on McCullough Avenue
Left on Ashby Drive
Right on Main
Continue regular route
Inbound
From Main and Ashby, left on Ashby
Right on McCullough
Right on Elmira Street
