A new dating app for lovers tired of getting “ghosted” launched across Texas on Wednesday.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Austin-based After said it created the new dating app to protect folks looking for love. What makes the app unique, according to company officials, is its “anti-ghosting” feature. The function requires users to provide reasons why they’re unmatching with someone before they can continue swiping.

“We know you deserve better, so we take serious dating seriously,” After says in its mission statement. “We are saying goodbye to the superficial and focusing on what makes connections bloom.”

Founder and CEO Katie Dissanayake, who’s best known as the woman behind the “fun without strings attached” app HUD, created After. Unlike HUD, though, the new app is about creating lasting relationships and not just hookups, the company said.

After’s other features include a dating 101 guide to help users have better conversations and an AI-based anti-catfishing system to verify that photos on users’ profile are real.

After is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
