Latin Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated Norteño-cumbia act Grupo Frontera will bring its Triste Pero Bien C*brón Tour to San Antonio’s Frost Bank Center this summer.
The McAllen-based group is touring behind its third studio album, Lo Que Me Falta Por Llorar, and will perform the Alamo City show on Sunday, July 19. The tour includes dates in Latin America and Europe along with stops in Texas, California, Arizona and other key markets for Mexican regional music, according to promoter Live Nation.
General tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, via FrostBankCenter.com and Ticketmaster.com. Exclusive presale access is available to those who sign up at Frost Bank Center’s All Access Newsletter and select the “Latin” genre.
The name for Grupo Frontera’s latest tour is inspired by the song “Triste Pero Bien Cabrón,” the band’s collaboration with Puerto Rican rapper Myke Towers. The concept behind the song reflects the group’s willingness to deal with heartbreak without dramatizing it, embracing what hurts and moving forward with character, according to a statement from Live Nation.
Ticket prices unavailable, Sunday, July 19, Frost Bank Center, 1 Frost Bank Center Drive, (210) 444-5140, frostbankcenter.com.
