While still searching for a permanent home, Pride Center San Antonio is set to host a handful of events and regular programs in the coming months with the aim of supporting the local LGBT community and its allies.

Every third Sunday of the month (starting Feb. 16), the center invites LGBT residents and their parents to ‘Pride Families’ a new social and support group. On March 7, the organization plans to start “Come OUT SA” a monthly event, held on the first Friday of each month, welcoming the LGBT community to “socialize, exchange ideas, share stories, and build connections.” It also has a LGBT culture training session in the works and a St. Patrick’s Day-themed fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting Pride Center. The non-profit leased a space in 2013 but it wasn’t equipped for programming and events, according to the grassroots LGBT community group, so they remain on the hunt for a brick and mortar building headquarters and resource center.
