Mayoral candidate Rolando Pablos accused John Courage, another contender in the race, of doxxing — or publicly revealing his private information in hope of causing damage — after the District 9 councilman posted a map of Pablos’ neighborhood on social media platform X.
The accusation comes after Pablos, a former Texas Secretary of State, said that he complained to Courage about his car being broken into last week. Pablos, who lives in the councilman’s district, maintains it’s the fifth time his car has been broken into in less than a year.
In response, Courage fired off a Feb. 24 tweet arguing that Pablos’ concerns about theft in San Antonio were overblown.
“Paid for Pablos @rolandopablos is complaining about crime in SA,” Courage wrote. “Here is a report of crime in his gated neighborhood (D9) for the past year.” Attached was a map that appeared to pin the location of Pablos’ far North Side home. The map didn’t include Pablos’ street address, however.

“This reckless act not only put my family at risk, it’s against the law and it’s just wrong,” Pablos said in the clip.
“It’s yet another example of a city council representative exhibiting poor judgment,” Pablos continued. “Our leader should be protecting residents, not endangering them. It’s time we get crime under control and hold our city representatives accountable.”
Courage grabbed headlines last month after he announced that he was reentering the 2025 San Antonio mayor’s race. He’d suspended his campaign in December, citing health issues.
Hang tight. It can only get weirder as May 3 approaches.
