Hundreds of people filled downtown San Antonio’s streets Friday as part of a nationwide protest against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), its aggressive tactics and the recent shooting deaths of two Minneapolis residents.

The demonstration, one many around the nation, took place on a day activists called a national strike to protest the Trump administration’s anti-immigrant crackdown. Students at 13 or more San Antonio high schools walked off campus today to join the strike, and many came downtown to join the march.
