An off-duty San Antonio Police Department detective was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the Central Texas town of Burnet, according to a statement from the department. 

Bennett, a nine-year SAPD veteran, has since been placed on administrative duty, the statement said. Department officials are conducting an administrative investigation.

Burnet Police arrested Bennett, 35, on Friday, KSAT reports, citing county jail records. He was released on $1,500 bond.

The Burnet Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation stemming from the arrest, according to the TV station.
