A sprawling 82-acre estate with wild game, an indoor riding arena and more than 50 horse stables is the priciest residential property currently listed for sale in San Antonio
Situated between the Dominion, the Rim and Camp Bullis in a coveted area called Forest Crest, the property has an asking price of $15 million. Its current owner listed it a week ago.
The estate’s private hunting wilderness are includes exotic game such as African deer. Meanwhile, a 10-acre walled compound contains the main residence and its outbuildings. The 7,919-square-foot enclave boasts 16 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
Some of its most luxurious amenities in the compound include a full, in-house spa and workout facility as well as a “party house” with a giant fish tank that’s home to piranhas and other exotic aquatics. A shower in the middle of the main residence fits 10 to 15 people.
“It’s a very sexy house,” said Sasha Jam, lead listing agent for the estate.
Built in 1960, the compound has been known to host raucous parties, according to the listing team.
“There is some I can talk about and some I can’t,” said Daniel Juarez, another agent for the property who happens to be godson of current owner Yolando Marco.
Juarez grew up attending parties at the property. At one of those, butlers handed out large Dos Equis bottles, and guests threw shot glasses against a wall every time they finished knocking back a drink.
On a less rowdy note, the compound also includes a five-car garage, a professional-grade tennis court, two guest houses and employee living quarters.
The luxurious pool is surrounded by four statues that were purchased from actor Sylvester Stallone, according to the listing agents. Back in 2010, country singer George Strait even made an offer on the property. The owner turned it down because it was $12 million lower than the asking price.
Present owner Marco turns a tidy annual profit with the property’s Marco Stables, but she’s looking to downsize as she gets older, according to the listing agents. The listing team described the estate as prime opportunity for commercial developers since it’s within walking distance of I-10.
This home is listed by Sasha Jam with JPAR San Antonio.
