Yes, you read that right.
Users of the Tesla Robotaxi autonomous self-driving service, which launched in Texas’ capital city last month, first noticed the expanded map’s eyebrow-raising redesign late Monday night.
Officially, Tesla Robotaxi company officials stated that the map is intended to resemble an upside-down “T.”
However, a post on social media platform X from Tesla Robotaxi’s official account, advertising the new map as “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger,” left little to the imagination for social media users.
“It’s not the size of the service area, it’s the shape that matters,” user @BenBCNus tweeted in response.
Nice.
Musk’s latest childish marketing stunt comes during a time of choppy waters for the tech bro’s empire.
While the billionaire then-Trump supporter was in Washington advocating for cuts to Medicare and Social Security as head of the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, Tesla cars became the target of pyromaniacs and the company’s sales dropped 71% in the first quarter
Things haven’t gotten much better since Musk left D.C.
Indeed, the most recent update of his Artificial Intelligence service Grok AI appears to led the machine to the machine spout antisemitic answers. Grok even referred to itself as “Mecha Hitler,” prompting Musk to post that the AI had been “too compliant to user prompts.”
Doesn’t exactly seem like the ideal time for Musk to try to win friends and influence people with dick jokes.
