Likely Texas voters think political corruption is the top issue plaguing the state, according to a new poll.

The survey, released last week by the Texas Politics Project at the University of Texas, showed that 18% of respondents consider political corruption the most pressing problem. That was followed by inflation, which ranked second at 14%, and immigration, coming in third at 9%.

The poll also touched on Texans’ thoughts about national issues. Among respondents, 66% said they’re “very concerned” about the price of food and consumer goods. The poll also shows that personal finances had worsened for 43% compared to a year ago.

Even though Republicans control every branch of Texas government as financial problems grip the state and the rest of the nation, the party still enjoyed a higher favorability rating than Democrats among those polled. The GOP had an 80% favorability rating compared to Dems’ 69%.

Even so, the numbers showed some high-profile Republicans with underwater favorability ratings. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, for example, has a favorability of 28%, compared to U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, 24%, whom the AG is facing in next year’s Republican Senate Primary.

Meanwhile, though, Cornyn’s unfavorability rating was 46% while Paxton’s was at 44%.

In the Democratic primary for that same race, former U.S. Rep. Collin Allred leads the pack with 32% favorability, besting U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s 30%. However, considering Crockett hasn’t even announced that she is running, that’s a pretty close second for a total hypothetical. Texas State Rep. James Talarico, a former teacher running in the Democratic primary, came in third at 22%.
