A woman was found unresponsive on a San Antonio street in what police say may have been a scooter crash.
San Antonio police responded to a call about an injured woman found on the city’s East Side just before 3 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the driver of a cement truck discovered the woman on North Walters Street near East Carson Street and called for help.
Newscasts broadcasting from the scene showed a Lime scooter laying on the ground.
When officials arrived, the woman was unresponsive. She was transported to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition, according to reports.
Police are investigating the incident to determine whether the woman fell off the scooter or was hit by a vehicle. In September, local police and fire departments announced that they would be keeping track of injuries involving scooters.
