With tall windows in rooms with 10-foot-high ceilings, it’s clear why this Lavaca neighborhood house drew the attention of San Antonio artist Kathy Sosa, who's known for paintings of the Texas-Mexico border region.
The rooms are full of light in this updated 1915 house, making it a perfect haven for the artist to create in since 2013. Photographs of the home’s interior show Sosa’s bright work on display on the high, white walls, including pieces from her ongoing series “Trees of Life.”
There are plenty of spaces to draw on creativity from other muses, including those of the culinary kind. To that end, the house features a large chef’s kitchen. A deck and backyard on the oversized lot also seem readymade for natural inspiration, quiet contemplation, entertaining or gardening.
