San Antonio mansion with Buddy the Elf and Grinch pics plus a koi pond re-listed with $300K price cut
A San Antonio mansion put on sale this summer and touted as the "crown jewel of Castle Hills" is back on the market, this time with its asking price scaled back to $1.7 million from $2 million.
Befitting its posh price tag, the 5,300-square-foot Southern Colonial-style home includes features such as an expansive koi pond with its own wooden footbridge and a dedicated indoor dog-washing station. The new sales listing posted last week points out those features and more.
However, this time the photos of the house include an unusual bid to lure a buyer: cameos by a guy portraying Will Ferrell's character Buddy from the holiday comedy Elf , along with his pal the Grinch from Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
An enticement to close a deal and move in before Christmas? We're not sure, but it's an unusual touch, whatever the rationale.
The mansion was built in 1941 and includes five bedrooms and five and a half baths. It's situated on a one-acre lot that also includes a new pool, a gazebo and "multiple outdoor living spaces like a benched gas fire pit and outdoor grilling station," according to its listing.
This home is listed by Jan Moreland with Moreland Properties.
