Sexy, Colorful Moments from the 2019 Texas Body Paint Competition

The 12th annual Texas Body Paint Competition brought dozens of body paint artists together at the Guadalupe Theater. Hosted by Beyond the Canvas, the competition — which had a theme of "Power of Illusion" this year — features both local and visiting artists from countries around the world who work tirelessly for six hours to create individual designs and decked-out accessories to present on live canvases, plus highly-distinguished judges who recognize San Antonio has a hub for the art form. The end result that's literally months in the making? Absolutely wonderful! (Plus, one of the local artists was recognized as one of the top three of the night.) We're so amazed by the beautiful artwork.
