San Antonio's north-of-downtown neighborhoods are full of Craftsman-style homes — an early 1900s style that often featured welcoming front porches and heavy, tapered columns. Most of the time those columns were wood.

Which is why this one caught our eye. The lower portion of its columns and the border along the front of the porch are trimmed in stone. Was the house built that way in 1925, or did a stone mason once own the place and take it on as a project? We're not sure. We just like it and figured others might too.

Beyond the interesting facade, the meticulously renovated property has other nice touches, including cute glass-fronted cabinets in the kitchen and impressive built-in display shelves in the living area. One of the bathrooms is even adorned with hand-painted floor tile.

It's on the market for $549,000.

This home is listed by Melissa Muse Wiggans with Real Estate Muses.
