Tim Duncan in U.S. Virgin Islands for Hurricane Irma Relief

San Antonio's beloved Tim Duncan reached out to the public to give monetary donations to benefit the U.S. Virgin Islands following Hurricane Irma, and promised to work toward relief once it was safe. Now, he's making good on that promise.

Photos were uploaded to a Twitter account dedicated to Duncan's relief fund and showed The Big Fundamental assisting with supplies on the islands.

He had first-hand experience with devastating hurricanes while growing in St. Croix. He was 13 years old when Hurricane Hugo struck in 1989.
