Former San Antonio Spur Alvin Robertson was arrested early Monday morning – the latest in numerous arrests since the early 1990s.

Robertson, 56, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for violating a protective order. San Antonio police told local news stations that they arrested Robertson at a home on the Northwest Side.

Police said they were investigating a report of a disturbance at the home, where Robertson was arguing with a relative. While there, police realized Robertson had an active warrant and arrested him without the possibility of bond.

Most notable in Robertson's criminal past is his March 2009 arrest in connection with a sex-trafficking ring. According to police, a 14-year-old girl was prostituted in San Antonio and Corpus Christi. Robertson was indicted in August 2011, but charges were dismissed due to insufficient evidence.

Robertson has been arrested on multiple charges, including assault, burglary and criminal trespassing, since 1990.

Robertson was drafted by the Spurs in 1984 and was a member of the U.S. Olympic gold-medal team that same year. He was a four-time NBA All-Star and was defensive player of the year in 1986. He played with the Spurs until 1989 and later the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors before retiring from the NBA in 1996.
