Following an August expansion into the Rio Grande Valley, Panera Bread is opening two additional Alamo City locations, officials from the fast-casual bakery and cafe chain said.
The first of those stores, 4343 Medical Drive, will begin serving Oct. 29, while the second, 10610 Culebra Road, will open its doors Nov. 15.
The new restaurants will be the ninth and tenth Panera Bread units in San Antonio, according to officials with the St. Louis-based company. It entered the Alamo City market in 2007.
“We are excited to grow our presence in this wonderful community and look forward to delivering the great tasting food and impeccable service our Texas guests have come to expect from Panera,” area Operating Partner Brandon Willis said via email.
On the first two days of operation at each of the new restaurants, the first 50 customers will receive a year’s worth of free bagels and cream cheese, according to Panera officials.
