Flamboyant San Antonio personal injury attorney Thomas J. Henry is celebrating his birthday this year, which fell on April 5, by giving away $1 million in cash prizes.

Henry’s annual birthday parties have consistently grabbed local and national headlines. For example, he reportedly spent $5 million last year for a soirée at an Austin nightclub featuring performances by rapper Jack Harlow and DJ Steve Aoki.

This year, though, Henry, now 63, decided to give back to the community by awarding weekly cash prizes through the end of the year worth a total of $1 million. The attorney will donate $5,000 each week through December to five lucky winners, then two grand prizes of $100,000 in the final month of the year.

Anyone can enter as long as they’re a Texas resident, and the entry page includes 11 different ways people can get in the running, from following Henry on various forms of social media to answering a question to referring a friend to the contest. Employees of Thomas’ firm and their immediate family members aren’t eligible to enter, however.

“This journey isn’t about a single person but so many people,” Henry said in a statement. “This year, I want to celebrate by giving back.”
