San Antonio-based Scooped Cookie Dough Bar is expanding, opening a second Alamo City location roughly a mile from UTSA’s main campus.

The homegrown business will give away free cookie dough all day starting at noon Saturday, Feb. 1, in celebration of launching the new location at 7211 Green Glen Drive, according to details shared Monday by the owners.

Scooped opened its first location in 2017 in Northeast San Antonio’s Bracken Village, serving up edible cookie dough in more than a dozen flavors, including Mexican Hot Chocolate, Cake Batter and Cookies n’ Cream.

“Think of it like an ice cream shop, but instead of ice cream in the trays, it’s a raw cookie dough,” the company explains on its website.

The sweet spot makes fresh batches of its dough daily with pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour to ensure it’s safe for consumption.
