The DNA of missing San Antonio realtor Suzanne Simpson has been found on a saw owned by her husband, Brad Simpson, according to multiple media reports.

Brad Simpson, who’s been charged with murder in connection with the presumed death of his wife, was indicted earlier this week by a grand jury.

Two sources close to the case told KSAT-TV that Suzanne Simpson’s DNA was found on a reciprocating saw that Brad Simpson allegedly tried to conceal from authorities.

Meanwhile, the Express-News reported Thursday that Brad Simpson’s brother, Barton T. Simpson, confirmed that the DNA evidence on the saw is part of the evidence presented to the grand jury that indicted Simpson on murder charges.

Suzanne Simpson was last seen alive Oct. 6 as she argued with her husband outside their $1.4 million Olmos Park home, according to an arrest affidavit.

In addition to the murder charge, Brad Simpson also faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury, tampering with a corpse and possession of a prohibited weapon. This week’s indictment also accuses him of altering, destroying and concealing a human corpse.

Despite the charges and indictment, police have been unable to find Suzanne Simpson’s body.

On Tuesday, Barton T. Simpson, who’s been among his brother’s most outspoken critics, pleaded with him in a Facebook post to cooperate with authorities.

“For the sake of his children and the family who loves him, we ask him to accept responsibility and place himself at the mercy of the court,” Barton T. Simpson wrote. “It is our sincere hope that through accountability, healing can begin for everyone affected by this devastating loss.”

Brad Simpson is being held on a $5 million bond at the Bexar County jail. His next court date, an examining trial hearing, is set for Dec. 9.
