Wienerschnitzel has secured a new San Antonio franchisee, who opened a West Side location for the California-based hot dog chain and plans to help it expand further.
Samantha Garcia, who co-owns the new San Antonio franchise with her father Chris Cavazos, said she aims to operate a total of five locations here over the next 10 years. Her new store is located at 8302 Waters Edge Drive in the Westlakes Village Shopping Center.
“I love the brand, I stand behind it and I want to continue to grow,” said Garcia, 34, who spent the past eight years working for Chick-fil-A. “I love the hustle and flow of the restaurant business.”
Garcia said she got the idea of becoming a Wienerschnitzel franchisee after seeing how busy the location near Del Mar College in her native Corpus Christi got. The brand also holds significance because her grandparents took her for Weinerschnitzel hot dogs as a childhood treat, she added.
The new Wienerschnitzel brings the chain’s total number of Alamo City stores to three. The other two are operated by a separate franchisee, according to Garcia.
