The CEO of the Pearl has departed after three years in the top leadership position at the downtown mixed-use development, the San Antonio Business Journal reports.
The story gave no reason for the departure of Mesha Millsap, who joined the organization in 2007 as an accountant before working her way up. However, a statement released by Pearl ownership group Silver Ventures said she would be missed.
“The list of Mesha’s professional accomplishments at Pearl is too long to count,” Silver Ventures CEO Bryant Ambelang said in the statement cited by the Business Journal. “However, what will be missed most is her kindness, her generosity, and the joy she has shared with each person in our community.”
Millsap’s last day was Dec. 31. Company officials told SABJ the Pearl’s remaining leadership team will operate the north-of-downtown shopping and dining destination while looking for a replacement.
The departure comes as the sprawling development loses several key restaurant properties while continuing to gain new neighbors across the San Antonio River. Pearl dining spots Cured, Carriqui and Full Goods Diner all closed down in the final quarter of 2025.
