Ron Yates Winery has added a 8,800-square-foot tasting room to its Hill Country stop on the Texas Wine Trail.
The tasting room, located a little over 20 minutes east of Fredericksburg in the town of Hye, will allow the winery to expand its hospitality experience, according to founder and namesake Ron Yates.
“Over the past decade, we’ve built a loyal following,” Yates said in a statement. “This space allows us to welcome more guests while keeping the fun, relaxed, friendly atmosphere people love.”
The business’ new venue expands the amenities offered at its 17-acre vineyard, located at 6676 Highway 290 West.
The new facility features a live music stage, a library wine tasting program, a full-service kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven and 7,000 square feet of covered outdoor seating with picturesque vineyard views.
Oenophiles can sample a flight of the vineyard’s signature wines at the central tasting bar, or enjoy a glass — or bottle — in its seated areas. A private tasting room is also available by appointment for guided experiences with food pairings.
Ron Yates Winery will host a grand opening for the space on Saturday, May 2, with live music from Austin electro-funk rock duo Ghostland Observatory. At the outdoor event, the winery also will unveil two new wines from its Get Together boxed wine series.
Tickets are $60 per person and are available on the Ron Yates website.
