Grammy-winning country legend Dolly Parton had a few choice words for Texas truck stop chain Buc-ee’s at the opening of her competing business venture, Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop.

“I’m sure some of you are wondering why I wanted a truck stop,” Parton said. “Well, I couldn’t leave it to beavers.”

Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop, located in Cornersville, Tennessee, is now open for business.

Parton, known as the Queen of Country, wrote and recorded “I Will Always Love You,” “9 to 5,” “Jolene” and other classics during a six-decade career. As a touring musician, she said it only makes sense that she would open a truck stop.

“I’ve spent my whole life traveling down the road,” she said.
