The U.S. Secret Service is encouraging San Antonians to plan for traffic congestion during President Donald Trump’s visit to the Alamo City.

Trump will hold a rally Wednesday afternoon at Freeman Coliseum to stump for Republican candidates, including U.S. Senate hopeful Ken Paxton and Carlos De La Cruz, who’s running to represent Texas’ 35th Congressional District.

The Federal Aviation Administration issued a temporary flight restriction over Kelly Field this week beginning at 3 p.m., according to KSAT, which could indicate when Trump is expected to touch down.

Although the restriction isn’t anticipated to affect flights at San Antonio International Airport, Trump’s visit will impact traffic patterns around the Alamo City Wednesday afternoon, the U.S. Secret Service told KSAT in a statement.

“The U.S. Secret Service is working closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners, event organizers, and venue officials to support a safe and secure event in San Antonio,” a spokesperson told the TV station. “While we strive to minimize impacts, some traffic disruptions and congestion should be anticipated in the San Antonio area before and through the conclusion of the visit. The public is encouraged to plan to allow travel time on Wednesday.”

As a security precaution, the Secret Service doesn’t reveal the president’s travel route ahead of time.

Presidential motorcades usually include at least 30 vehicles and can take more than a minute and a half to pass.

Trump is the first sitting U.S. president to visit San Antonio for an official event since President Barack Obama, who hosted two fundraisers here during his 2012 reelection bid.
